The real point is Tebow Time (remember that?), the absolute craziness that involved all things Tim Tebow, like Tebowing, the faith jokes, etc., will now be moved to the absolute megacenter of media and focus: New York.
For those of you sick of Tebow last season, I have some bad news: Tebowmania will be ten times as bad this season. Why? Let me count the ways.
- Media coverage was oversaturated in DENVER. Imagine that in New York City.
- Tebow is not the starter, Mark Sanchez is. This is the Kyle Orton situation all over again, except worse. Fans know how well it worked out for the Broncos when they replaced Orton with Tebow, so they will try to use that as leverage against Sanchez. When Sanchez throws his first pick, fans will be calling for his head.
- Mark Sanchez already sucks. Everybody knows that. Kyle Orton was actually a halfway decent starting QB and the fans still threw him under the bus. With the added pressure of Tebow behind him, Sanchez will press harder and fail harder.
I guarantee Tebow is the starter by Week 5.
